Jaime Sage, DVM, MS, DACVR

Dr. Sage was born and raised in Round Rock, and received her veterinary training at Texas A&M. After completing a radiology residency, she received further training as an MRI specialist with Patrick Gavin, PhD, DACVR/RO who wrote the definitive textbook on the subject, and is often cited as one of the early pioneers of Veterinary MRI. In 2019, Dr. Sage was voted president-elect of the CT/MRI society of the American College of Veterinary Radiology.

Dr. Sage has issued over 20,000 MRI reports over the past fifteen years, and is frequently invited to lecture on the subject at meetings and conferences worldwide.

Rita Echandi, DVM, DACVR

Location: Dallas, Texas

DVM - Ohio State | Residency - U. Tenn

Dr. Echandi received her DVM from Ohio State University in 2003. After completing her radiology residency in 2007 from the University of Tennesee, she then accepted an assistant professor position in the radiology department of Ohio State University. In 2009, Dr. Echandi joined Animal Imaging in Dallas, a 3T MRI facility, where she served as medical director, radiation safety officer, and managed the I-131 program. Dr. Echandi joined Sage Veterinary Imaging and sister company, MRI Vets in 2021.

David Bruyette, DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Bruyette serves as our internal medicine consultant. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri. Subsequently, he completed an internship at Purdue University and residency in internal medicine at the University of California-Davis. He was a staff internist at the West Los Angeles Veterinary Medical Group and a member of the Department of Comparative Medicine at Stanford University. Dr. Bruyette was an Assistant Professor and Head of Internal Medicine at Kansas State University and Director of the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory at Kansas State. He was Medical Director of the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, one of the largest 24-hour emergency/specialty practices in the country from Sept 1996 - Jan 2017. Dr. Bruyette is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and a member of the Endocrine Society.

Currently he is the Chief Medical Officer for Anivive Lifesciences. Anivive is engaged in drug discovery to find new pharmaceuticals for use in dogs and cats.
