Houston Sonocamp, an intensive 2-day ultrasound training for DVMs
Taught by board-certified veterinary radiologist, Jaime Sage, this course covers the foundational elements of diagnostic ultrasound for general practitioners.
Dr. Sage draws from her experience a high daily volume of ultrasound cases at her imaging centers in Salt Lake City, Round Rock, and Houston. She also oversees a traditional academic 3-year ACVR accredited radiology residency where ultrasound is a key part of the curriculum.
In this two-day in-person training course, attendees will build confidence in locating normal anatomy, and distinguishing common pathologies and disease processes in canines and felines. The ultimate desired outcome of this course is for our students to complete more in-house ultrasounds within their own clinics, and to know when they should refer for advanced cross-sectional imaging, speeding up time to diagnosis and treatment for their patients.

Utah CE Dinner -Radiographic foundations of infectious disease
[REGISTRATION CLOSED FOR JUNE 12]. This course is radiology focused. The lecture discusses clinical signs, radiographic findings, and diagnostic methods for parasitic (Heartworm disease, Toxoplasmosis, Lungworms, Hepatozoonosis, and Chagas), fungal (Histoplasmosis and Blastomycosis), and bacterial (Brucella canis) diseases in domesticated canids and felids. Lecture contains radiographs, case studies, lifecycles of select vector-borne diseases, and associated epidemiological maps. Radiographic studies focus on cardiopulmonary and musculoskeletal changes.
